Dutch Masters Inspired Styled Wedding Editorial Shoot with Edwardian details

Updated: Feb 15

Last spring I had the opportunity to collaborate with a super talented group of local vendors on an original styled wedding editorial shoot. The editorial was inspired by Dutch Masters still life paintings, particularly the work of Rachel Ruysch. The abundant florals, rich colour palette, traditional tablescape and dramatic natural lighting were all based upon these paintings. The shoot was brought to life with romantic Edwardian styling details, seen in the wardrobe, furniture and accessories.  A moody vibe was carried throughout the shoot and echoed in the misty landscape outside the venue. Black accents, such as the hand painted cakes and the invitation suite, were used to add an edgy modern touch to the otherwise traditional styling. We were honoured to have this shoot featured on Knotsvilla in June! Enjoy the photos and be sure to check out all the other vendors and their incredible work!
